Are you noticing more anti-Florida opinions?

Please don’t say “we”, I refuse to take any blame for the last two gubernatorial elections or the 2000 election. I voted correctly.

Re: Moving away from natural disaster prone areas:
As has been pointed out, other areas get hit by natural disasters. You can’t expect everyone to move out of a state that is live-in-able 99% of the time.* If we must evacuate hurricane prone areas then we would have to evacuate all areas on the Gulf coast and some of the Atlantic coast as well. It seems like those Atlantic hurricanes are rather fond of the Carolinas. Yes, let’s evacuate all these areas that might get hit once a year or once every few years by a hurricane. Now where should all these people go? Perhaps to California with it’s earthquakes, wildfires, and mudslides? How about the midwest, otherwise known as Tornado Alley? How about the Pacific Northwest? Mount Saint Helens isn’t likely to blow again anytime soon, is it?
People families, careers, lives are in these areas. They can’t all just pack up and leave.
