Are you preparing for the worst? (swine flu)

Still no sign of piggy flu. I gotta say, though, the area hospitals and state health department are really on the ball and ready to go if it becomes necessary. Everyone’s talking to everyone, making sure we all have enough test kits and collection equipment, and we’re all on the same page. It’s encouraging.

Of course…I work for the government. I got a memo yesterday. All is in readiness. I read the memo.
Wash your hands.
Cover your coughs.
Stay home if you seem sick.

We are ready.
Cyn, RN case manager for a federal program that is county implemented–2 levels of government!

I work for a major retailer in their corporate office and we’ve gotten two communications about it so far. That’s like one communication for every 30 people in the US who have the damn thing.

I’ve been in an underground bunker since Dec 31 1999.
My supplies are running low - is it safe to come out yet?

You have to stay until the winter flu season hits. You can emerge around Thanksgiving.

Seeeeeeeee…the government’s hyper-awareness has once again saved us all!
Thank you, government memo!

Cyn, RN case manager for a federally funded, county implemented program, who didn’t get the flu because she took the proper precautions advised by the government!

Sorry, but I’ve got my hands full checking these damn monkeys for Ebola.
