Today has just not been my day! First, I get an e-mail from a lady that I bought some candy from on eBay. She says that she just noticed that I have a military address and that shipping will be higher than quoted. This is the first I’ve ever heard of this, since the reason they give us APO addresses instead of having us use our actual, foreign address, is so we can send and receive mail at domestic rates. So, I tell her this. No, no she says, this is what the post office told her. I nicely ask her to check again, because some one has given her incorrect information. She writes back and insists that it costs more. I’m thinking of canceling the whole transaction, but I don’t want any negative feedback. It’s just a lousy couple of bucks more, but her whole attitude just bugs me.
Then, I get home from taking my niece to school and my neighbor comes up to tell me something, and says she tried before but I didn’t answer my door.
“No,” I say “I just wasn’t home.”
“But your car was there.”
“I walked.”
“Maybe you didn’t hear me.”
“Of course not, I wasn’t here.”
“I looked, and your car was there.”
“I walked!”
“All the way to the school?”
And so on and so forth. What is it with these people? Do I just have a face that says I’m lying, do not trust anything that comes out of my mouth?
