Arias verdict in 20 mins - 9:30 MST.

Death or life for Jodi. 20 minutes from now we’ll know.

I’m gonna go with Life.

I’m probably wrong though. I usually am.

Any word on whether Caesar has given the thumbs up or the thumbs down?

Sounds like it might be a hung jury, which = life. No one knows.

I would try to guess the verdict, but it would just be a stab in the dark…

I hope life. Not because I abhor the death penalty (which I do), but because I think life in prison will be far greater suffering for her. She sucks.

Jury deadlocked. It’s up to the judge now. DA doesn’t get to try again. The judge can’t apply the death penalty, so it’ll be life, presumably. Next sentencing hearing is next month.

As a death penalty opponent, I’m pleased and pleased that the judge can’t decide on his own to apply the DP. Also, pleased that this women will soon be off my tv.

Guess she can lose the fake glasses and dye her hair blonde again.

They (Fox 10, Phoenix) stated that the Arizona Dept of Corrections has advised their officers to remain professional with their dealings with her. Apparently, she’s a manipulator who spins a large web.

She’s a classic psychopath, from everything I’ve read. Remorseless, lies constantly, and utterly self-absorbed. Intelligent, too, which means that prison guards of more average intelligence should be kept far away.

Anybody who doesn’t find Arias utterly abhorrent, after reading the details of what she did, is a better person than me. I wouldn’t piss on her if she were on fire.

Wait what? I thought a deadlock means they get to try again? Is this some unique law to wherever this trial is being held?

This jury only heard the penalty phase. A previous jury, the one that convicted her, also deadlocked on the penalty phase. Arizona law stipulates that if a jury cannot find a verdict as to penalty (life or death), then a second jury be empaneled. If that jury cannot find a verdict, then the death penalty is off the table. The judge must sentence her to natural life without parole , or life with the possibility of parole after 25 years.

Yeah, what Mike said. Sorry I wasn’t clearer in my original post.

what has she been convicted of?

Prior to this thread I’d never heard of her. The only reason she’s on your TV is you let her be there. Take charge of what you watch.

Me neither. I had to google her to see who she is.
