armed and ready for action

'Nother gadget junkie here. Once I was crossing the street and thought to myself, “I hope a car doesn’t hit me, because I have over $1000 worth of gadgets on me.” I have a Palm V, an MP3 player, and a watch that stores 100 phone numbers, among other things. However, I have studiously avoided all communication equipment, because (a) I think they look stupid and trendy and (b) I have neither the need nor desire to be available all the time.

And I hate it when people keep stuff on their belt. I keep my Palm in my pocket and my MP3 player in my backpack. Works just fine.

Thank you.

Looks a lot different from the outside. Have you ever seen somebody in a car all by themselves talking and waving their hands around?

LOL… I will give you that, Sneevil. But as far as safety goes, I think it is equal. (I dont talk with my hands anyway… like I said, I keep them on the wheel.) But some people look at me when I sitting at a red light talking to myself. Oh well. Like I give a shit about them.

Every one of you nosy whiners can kiss my ass. How dare you complain about my using a phone in public places? How the hell do you rationalize talking to the friend next to you while you’re complaining about me talking on the phone?

Of course I turn it off during operas or other quiet events, but on the street, in the car, or in any other place where you would talk to another human being, I talk to other human beings. Face to face or via a phone, as far as your nosy rude ass is concerned, it’s not your concern.

LOL!! I do that all the time. But, I’m not on the phone. this is embarrassing to admit I’m talking back to the radio (I’m a big fan of talk radio). I’ll be listening to a talk show and not agree with the host - I’ll start arguing as if he could hear me. And, my SO has his own talk show which happens to be on during my drive to work, so sometimes I talk to him  I’m not crazy. Really.
