Arnold Lobel Frog & Toad

My son and I both enjoy Frog and Toad tapes by Arnold Lobel, and listen to them as we fall asleep.

Is Arnold still alive?
He had a great voice.

He died in 1987.

Yes, Mr. Lobel died.

His son-in-law, Mark Linn-Baker (you may remember him from the sitcom “Perfect Strangers”), adapted the Frog & Toad stories into a musical that was up for the Best Musical Tony award last year.

You and your son might enjoy the soundtrack.

“Frog and Toad” were my favorite storybook characters when I was a kid. I remember also “Small Pig”, and a book about a Mouse. I’ve often thought about getting those books again. Ah, nostalgia…
