Mine got here today a bit after 5 - I was getting worried that UPS wouldn’t be delivering after 5. I’m up to “Good Grief,” but I had to stop watching because “Lost” is on. Very excited about the rest of them, and the commentaries.
Mostly because of baseball, it’ll be gone until 11/7. That’s not a new thing, and it probably affects Fox shows aside from Arrested.
The extra scenes on disc one are a scream. I especially love George-Michael trying to eat the mayonegg. The “I can do this” hand gestures are great.
My little brother has seen all of season one and only parts of the rest, so I’m catching him up. [He does yell “Steve Holt!” anytime that… anything happens.) My mom seems to like it, too. But just from looking at the back of the cases, there are at least five episodes that are “funny as anything I’ve ever seen on TV, fall-down-laughing” great - The One Where They Build a House, Good Grief, Hand to God, The Immaculate Election, and Sword of Destiny. I’ve made a huge non-mistake!
I’m certainly not complaining about baseball pre-empting. The old Fox system was to wait until after the World Series to start their fall series.
Very clever joke that I just got:
A few scenes in the second season mention the Sunday buffet at Skip Church’s. Well, in Hand to God, Michael meets Maggie at a bar. He’s told that since it’s Friday, she’ll be at… Miss Temple’s. :smack:
I just ordered the 2nd season DVD from Amazon, where it’s currently the 4th-best-selling DVD after Batman Begins, Revenge of the Sith, and Cinderella.
And the first season is the 26th-best-selling DVD, which seems pretty impressive for a TV show that’s been available on DVD for over a year.
And that no one’s watching.
It was sold out from Target last night, so I bought it from amazon.com. I just want to see the Seaward joke again.
Anyone find any easter eggs yet? I know there’s one on the season 1 dvd.
Happy
I have to wonder if this has something to do with the demographic that likes the show: Are we just more likely to buy shows on DVD than to watch them on television? I know that I tend to wait for a show to finish a season, rent the first DVD, and if I like it, buy the season. It works out way cheaper than getting cable for me (with the downside that I’m a year behind most people).
We haven’t found any yet.
And we also can’t seem to find the campaign videos that they say are on the box. Anyone else been able to find those?
E.
How long is this stupid baseball going to last? I want my AD!
