Art Frahm

Are there any other fans of Art Frahm here? He was a painter of pin-up girls in the 40s and 50s who included celery and falling underwear in a good portion of his work. There is a really fascinating page about him here - http://www.lileks.com/institute/frahm/index.html

I was reminded of him in another thread in these forums when someone mentioned that carrots and french bread are always in the shopping cart in movies.

I’ve seen that link before. Some of those pictures are downright creepy! Like the guy in this one!

Not to mention that he’s getting out of the wrong side of the truck (assuming these paintings take place in the U.S., which seems reasonable).

I swear, if nothing else, the SDMB more than fills my monthly New Weird Shit requirement.
