These are just amazing – underwater sculptures meant to serve as the base for new reefs. Too freakin’ cool.
Wow. There’s something to put on the bucket list. That is truly awesome.
It’s like the Terracotta Army (Navy?)
What will archaeologists and anthropologists think when they discover these, 5000 years from now?
Beautiful.

That what crossed my mind, too. They’ll inspire some very interesting myths if the explanation doesn’t survive.
Yeah, that is going to confuse the holy hell out of people* eons from now. That said, the photo of the old crone with a starfish on her cheek is something else.
- or whatever is left of people, or whatever people have evolved into, etc.
Same here. Especially when they find their gooey chocolate centers.
I dunno, will they still be discernible as figures by then? They’ll be pretty much completely encrusted, and won’t the concrete have deteriorated to the point where any detailing is lost?
Wow. Makes me wish I could dive. They’re amazing!
That’s wonderful, thank you for sharing! I’ve always been fascinated by temporary art such as butter sculptures, sand art, crop circles and I’m now including this because it will be gone soon enough. The later pictures of what the statues look like now, after algae and water plants have taken root are beautiful, eerie and in some cases, creepy. Someone could make a killer horror movie in that place.
Looking elsewhere on his site, I’m so impressed by this artist’s talent and whimsy. This one made me laugh out loud.
