What sort of artichokes? Globe Artichokes are the big thistle things, Jerusalem Artichokes are tubers.
If it’s a regular artichoke, one way to do it is to quarter it and clean it as usual - cut stem off, chop off little prickly things, pull out choke. Keep them in a bowl full of water and lemon juice to keep them from turning brown until you’re ready to cook them. Then you have to boil them for about 15 minutes to soften them up a bit and then drain the water out of them. Then you can put them on the grill and brush them with a little olive oil and lemon juice. They take around 8-10 minutes to cook.
