Article on generations

This is probably a long shot, but here goes…

I remember reading an article, a few years ago, about writing characters that were not members of your generation. It was on some website, but for the life of me I can’t remember where. The article referenced a book that talked about there being four generations that basically repeated themselves. And they went on about the characteristics of each one and how those characteristics formed the generation that came after it.

I remember being fascinated by it, and I’d like to find that book. (Although now that I think about it more, there may not have been another book but just the information in the article.) Has anybody seen anything like this, or know of any books that deal with this subject?

The book is called “Generations”, by William Strauss and Neil Howe. They wrote a bunch of other books expanding their basic theory.

18 minutes – huh, so much for my long shot.

Thanks Captain.
