Maybe where you work, it doesn’t.
I was less worried about being stopped by police, than the possibility that so many people would get sick, there wouldn’t be enough healthy truckers, warehouses would be understaffed, etc., IOW the whole supply chain would have frayed links resulting in shortages of who knows what.
So yeah, I felt a lot better, knowing I had enough of pretty much everything to last my family until June.
I don’t know. I know for me, now that I picked up a 12 pack of quality toilet paper (and not some shitty brand that falls apart), I don’t feel an urge to buy more until sometime in summer when I run low again.
I think when people have a 2-3+ month supply in the back, they may feel comfortable not buying more. I mentioned in my thread above that when I picked up my 12 pack, there were other shoppers in the store who didn’t have any in their carts. So they walked past the aisle and didn’t buy any.
I’m hoping the shortage starts to die down within the next few weeks as the % who were hoarding realize they don’t need tho hoard anymore.
I’m too embarrassed to reveal what I paid recently for a couple of packs of Angelsoft om eBay. The seller tried to get feedback from me and I said he really didn’t want feedback from me given the fact I’d just paid so much for two packs of toilet paper.
