Thank you scout. No, its not just the lighting. I look totally different. And feel so much better.
I lost 13 pounds by the time I had my staples out. I’m planning to go for my 1 month checkup next week, so I’ll give you and update then.
I feel fine. Thanks for asking.
I can’t wait to go clothes shopping in a few months. That’s what I’m looking forward to. New clothes, new style, new me.
I’m looking forward to dancing naked in the streets.
Or maybe not, but still… just knowing that I could, without making people lose their lunch…
Opel, just wondering if you have anymore update pics. I have some, but they are not fit for viewing lol. If you have anymore, post em, I’d love to see how far along you have come.
Glad you brought this thread up again, Fun. I promised to update you guys but I forgot.
I’ve lost 37 lbs. Yay!
Here is me last night: http://tinyurl.com/61z7
I fit into a size 14 now! I’m 10 weeks out and have lost almost 40lbs.
Here is another pic: http://tinyurl.com/620m
Wow, Opal, that’s excellent!
I’m a week behind you (December 4th), I’ve lost almost as much, and I’ve gone from a 24 to a 22. I don’t know where the lost weight is going, but its sure not leaving my butt!
Oh well - I know it will eventually. You look fantastic, BTW!
thanks! I’ve only lost about 3lbs in the last 3 weeks, which is frustrating, but it will kick in again.
Where are your pics?
I need to take some. I keep telling myself I will, but I just can’t bring myself to do it yet. I’ve always hated having my picture taken.
I yo-yoed between 30-35 lbs for about 5 weeks. Everytime I’d step on the scale - up, down, up, down - that was awful. I just got the scale under 245 (I’m now at 243) Saturday, so I’m hoping the yo-yo has stopped for a while.
I haven’t talked to the dietician yet, but several other people I talked to who had the same problem told me it was because I wasn’t eating enough , so my metabolism was shutting down. So I started eating some higher calorie foods (not more food, since I really couldn’t do that) and that seemed to have done the trick. The only problem is, I’m wanting to eat healthy - in fact, those are the foods I’m craving - but I’m not getting enough calories when I eat grapefruit, salads and beef jerky. How odd is that?
Of course, I’m not complaining about what I can eat. I’d better not, since I’m eating 1/2 a Klondike bar right now…
Yes, your body will kick into starvation mode and start hoarding, causing you to lose less. Instead of those things, try eating high protein foods. The jerky is good, but fruit and salad should come after you eat the protein foods.
Fantastic pics, Opal! Best of luck on your (and everyone else’s) continuing weight loss.
I am so glad to hear everyone is doing well. And dont worry, the weight will start to move again soon if you’ve hit a rut. I lost in spirts, one day Id be the same weight ive been for 2 weeks, then the next id have lost 5 pounds.
Im 11 months post op and I finally reached 100 pounds. I am down to 180 and very happy with where I am now. This is where I want to stay. After a year I am going to go to a plastic surgeon and see if insurance will cover my tummy tuck. Ill let everyone know how that goes.
Congrats again to everyone, its nice to know that im not alone. And As always I am here for questions, you can email me at gatorman5k@yahoo.com and i also try to visit this page every once in a while.
