For the record, it was Henry III’s son, the future Edward I (aka Longshanks) who betrayed and killed de Montfort in battle in Evesham, August 1265.

I like your thinking, dcnewsman, but she’s not Swiss, she’s Swedish. And, she’s an only child, and not a nun. I have no idea what the present political landscape in Sweden is (nor Switzerland, for that matter), but it’s quite unlikely that a civil war will erupt in the coming month.

Of course I want the Titans. First, as you said, it keeps the Eagles closer to the lead in the NFC East. Second, I kinda like the Titans.
I picked the Titans, but they’re my 1-confidence pick in the Pick 'Em league. I’ve been hemming and hawing on it. As soon as I hear that Eddie George is a definite “no” for tonight I’m prepared to swing my pick to the Skins.
Yes, the Giants will remain closer to first (actually, they’ll be alone in first) if the Titans win, but I don’t actively root against a team when it doesn’t benefit the Eagles, unless it’s the Cowboys.
