There are medical pot stores that don’t sell for recreational use, and vice versa. And there are stores that do both.
And yes, you can ask exactly that kind of question, and get interesting answers.

Were the sodas and teas, infused with THC by some means, then, meant to be put in bongs?
Well, no, but I would imagine all pot is gluten free, unless you bake it into brownies or something.
In one of my earlier excursions to the west coast, Some one handed me a “spicy hot” Hershey’s-style chocolate bar infused with THC. It was super delicious. But I had no idea how much THC was in it, and thought it couldn’t be all that much. So I ate like a half of it, just to be safe.
An hour later, I realized I had no idea what I was saying or just said. I could barely walk, had no idea what expression on my face but I was sure it was wrong/creepy, and decided I’d force it into something that looked normal, which in hindsight was probably even creepier. Then we were, somehow, watching a Pixar movie (Up) and it was the most intense/confusing experience of my life. After, I spent an hour marveling at a votive candle flame.
Then, after my friend checked out the chocolate bar said, “Dude! You were only supposed to eat like a tiny little square!”
Thanks for the tip.
My understanding is that they were intended to be drank, but as I noted I didn’t try any.
Uhhh… yeuuh… haven’t they always been?
Why don’t the manufacturers calibrate it so that one bar = a safe dose? Most people, if handed a bar of chocolate, will naturally eat the whole thing. It wouldn’t occur to them to only eat a small fraction of it.
People have different tolerances. The bars are segmented so you can adjust your dose.
There is no lethal dose. If you do injest too much, the number one symptom is vomiting.
Right?
But yes, I agree, in the future, when pot is legalized almost everywhere (perhaps even federally someday), they’ll have to come up with something like the Scoville Units for capsaicin as applied to THC.
It’d be nice to know the equivalency of THC to smoking X amount of Y. Getting high every blue moon is nice… but I don’t want to get retarded-high.
I initially read the title as “pet” stores, and I skimmed surprisingly far through the thread (albeit with growing confusion) before figuring it out.
That’s very disappointing: I was going to ask how successful you were in picking up 18 year old, free-love hippie chicks…
What are the prices like?
Hey Boyo Jim, glad you enjoyed your trip to Colorado! Did you make it to Golden Gate Canyon State Park? Also, did the dispensaries you visited take credit cards?
What strains, according to the people who work there, are best for people who get anxiety from weed? Do the high CBD strains prevent anxiety problems?
I read that is a problem in places like CO. People eat a bar when they should eat a square, and they don’t feel the effect (it can take an hour or more) so maybe they eat another one.
The same problem happens with DXM sometimes, it can take a couple hours to hit and some people take way too much.
someone put up billboard on the subject to educate people.

Was there a minimum purchase amount? Pre-rolled joints?
I’m hoping it becomes legal here in California soon, I refuse to get a medical card under false pretenses and all my buddies have stopped smoking.
I guess it’s too logical for someone to educate themselves before taking any kind of drug or heaven forbid read an instruction label. Those THC candy bars and whatnot have easy to read and understand instructions conveniently placed on the package.
That’s why fat people are fat because they can’t read serving numbers and think the whole bag is 1 regardless. It’s a sad truth.
I know that and know how to smoke pot, I was referring to the sodas and teas you said were for sale. Since THC isn’t water soluble, if you added it to tea or soda it would just be some insoluble residue in the bottom of the bottle or can?
I’m curious how those work.
Yea, I wonder if they could use something inert like propylene glycol, but I’m guessing too much would give the tea or soda a viscous thick texture.
(Not sure if that would work BTW just throwing it out there)
I apologize for the tone of that post. I connected your comment about solubility to my comment about bongs and drew the wrong conclusion about the meaning of your post.
