There have been music festivals at the nunnery though. How does that do to link you and Askance togehter? Nothing like woodstock , much more “folky”.

I do vaguely recall some connection between Pete Townshend and the Isle of Man. It was in one his song’s lyrics? Do you really go by “Manxmen” or “Manxwomen”? That doesn’t sound as good as “Manxians” or “Manxites” or even “Manxies”.

“Happy Jack” is the song. “He lived on the sand on the Isle of Man.”

I always thought that said “Island there” but looks like you’re right.

Anyway I wouldn’t personally look for much deep meaning in songs like “Happy Jack” :wink:
