Ask the 'time traveller from the future'

This is a good question; don’t forget that I’ve been here since 1998 - in the few months after my arrival, I was variously mistaken for a person of Dutch, Danish, Scottish (Highlands) and (perhaps most strangely) South African origin, depending on who was doing the listening; the language spoken in my province was broadly similar to English (and so it should be), but with a lot of contractions that you might find strange. I’m too tired to go into more detail at the moment.

I’m actually going to call an end to this experiment now; it has been an interesting one.

Things I have learned from this:
It isn’t as easy as I thought; certainly I jumped to answer some questions in a way that prejudiced the way I would have to answer others later; I started off with not very much of a vision as to the future from which I was supposed to have come and this was a problem - more and careful planning is required for this sort of thing.

A couple of questions I’m surprised nobody asked:
What is the purpose of your being here?
How did you integrate yourself into our society?

So, you’re not willing to tackle the real toughies, huh? You know. like, um, my question above?

A ha! I KNEW it! You ARE from the past! Damn you 1880’s scientists and your steam-powered time machines! Always trying to pretend that you’re from our future. You’re not fooling anyone.
