Does he think that he can pressure Trump into giving him some sort of amnesty?
Would he really release them if someone provided them, or is this just an attempt to quash the rumors that Assange has been working with Putin to help Trump?
Or maybe everything Assange does is all about Assange?
Why do you think Assange needs amnesty? Has he been charged with a crime by the Federal Government?
Assange worked like hell to sink Hillary Clinton because he hates America, and he wanted Clinton to enter office as weakly as possible, so that the ability of the President to project power was limited. Except now Trump is in office, so of course he’s going to do everything in his power to undermine Trump.
Expect right-wing public opinion to shift 180 degrees as the right-wing media changes their marching orders.
