Asshat Martha Stewart to Face Criminal Indictment

It was reported earlier today that Martha Stewart will face criminal charges as early as this week. If this happens Martha Stewart will step down as President and CEO of her own multi-billion dollar company. How the mighty have fallen.

And that’s the bottom line

It’s a good thing.

What’s that german word for taking glee in the misfortune of others? Shaudensomething?

Gots me some of that.
(I know “gots” is ignorant sounding. Also, this is now the “bottom line”.)

Schadenfreude is the word your looking for. A positive glee, with ever so slightly a guilty flavor to it, over the misfortunes of others.

Yes, that’s it. Though not so much guilt…

This is from the Chicago Sun Times

“Just this week, doctors concluded Erbitux, the ImClone cancer drug, worked just as well as an earlier company-sponsored study said it did. ImClone stock rose sharply on the news.”

Being bitten in the ass - it’s a good thing.

I saw on CNN this morning, and forgive me but I don’t remember the exact numbers, but Marth made only a couple of hundred thousand off her stock deal. While other companies have HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS in bad accounting scandals but no inditments have come down on them. yet.

I know a crime is a crime is a crime but why are people so down on Martha and so hell bent to pull her down?

My husband is beside himself. He has this weird fascination with Martha Stewart. He’s worried about what will happen to her show.

He’s not so much a fan… he’s just intriqued. He took great glee in a recent biogrpahy on her that dished all sorts of unflattering dirt on her. But he loves her show. And recently bought one of her cookbooks. He doesn’t cook.

Yes, I know. It’s disturbing.

Cranky, that’s hilarious.

What I’m curious about though is why in the hell is it that the frikkin’ U.S. Congress is the one investigating her, or at least the one who’s raising all the fluff? Am I wrong or just what in the hell is it that I’m missing?

I’m pretty sure she’s guilty as hell but it’s the buisiness of the Congress how?

I wonder this myself. Obviously, if she committed the crime she should do the time. But having said that – Good Lord, this woman built a billion dollar empire more or less from scratch. She’s created hundreds (possibly thousands) of jobs. And she did it the old-fashioned way: by working hard and crafting products that people wanted to buy. That really is a Good Thing ™.

People, don’t be a Martha-hata!

Probably because of the general perception that she’s in fact a real bitch but tries to portray and profit from a sweet, wholesome manufactured image.

She lied to us. We want her bitchslapped.

I’m just flabbergasted that she violated federal law and risked a huge punishment, up to and including prison time, to unload bad stock for just under $300,000 dollars. The woman is a freakin’ multimillionaire.

If memory serves me correct, when her stock went pubic she was a billionaire.

As is often the case, lieu is correct.

Probably because she’s reputed to be a world-class bitch. For those of you who can remember, think ‘Leona Helmsley.’

Also, she makes her living capitalizing on the idea of a ‘happy home’ when she can’t keep any sort of stable relationship herself (husbands, children, etc.)

Chickens coming home to roost and all that.

Though the woman makes a damn fine centerpiece.

Aw crap, I of course meant when her stock went public, not pubic. That’s the last thing I’d want a memory of, her perfectly quaffed pubes.

Actually posting a lame ass catch phrase at the bottom of every damn post is beyond annoying.

And that’s the real bottom line.

Not a spelling flame, really it’s not…just pointing out that this is an image I really didn’t need, considering that I sure do hope you meant “coiffed”. “Quaffed” is…well…

From dictionary.com

Please, please, please tell me you didn’t mean THAT one…

I saw a newspaper article about her a few months ago, and they coined one just for her: “blondenfreude.”

Bwhaa! Oh man, was that ever in need of a clarification! Thanks kfwilkinson, I stand corrupted.
elf6c, was I whooshed or did you mean to post to another thrtead?
