Asthma sufferers - portable nebulizer recommendations?

This is a niche question indeed… but for any Doper asthmatics or medical personnel, if you own a portable nebulizer or have any knowledge of recommended brands / models, I’d be grateful for any input.

I’m using my big shoebox-sized nebulizer for a flareup this week and it’d be nice to have a smaller one for times where I need the neb, but am feeling well enough to be out and about otherwise.

I imagine the doctor won’t have any preferences as to brands when I contact her for a prescription for the unit; not sure if the scrip even needs to specify a brand/model.

Well let’s see. I’ve got a Pulmomate nebulizer - sort of the industry standard I believe. I haven’t needed it in years [knock on wood] but I have it in the house with a few doses of albuterol just in case.

Thanks - yes, I’ve got one of those also; I use it just a couple of times a year but it’s too bulky and inconvenient to lug if I can find a good alternative. I’m interested in opinions on the smaller ones (mesh or ultrasound), as those would be easier to transport.
