How do they score the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)? Can anyone give me a link? Can anyone tell me what a score of 225 really means?
You could try calling a recruiter. Did you take it because you want to go in the service, or because your whole school did?
I don’t know anything about how it’s scored, I took it (them?) about 12 years ago and scored in the 98th percentile across the board (but I don’t remember what that was translated from in points). IIRC they suggested I be a minister or a mechanic.

I took it in school, and nobody seems to know what exactly the score means. I’ve been told that anyone with a score over 201 gets a call or ten from the military, putting me right on their list. Oh, goody :rolleyes:.
You will get calls. The school swore that no personal information would be leaked back to the recruiters who proctored the test, but I had phone calls for months. The Air Force wanted me bad.
They may have changed the way they score them. I think they gave us a point score and percentile for each section, then an overall percentile. They also had this chart describing what jobs you have an aptitude for. I think we saw the chart a few days after we got the scores back. If you get the chart, I wanna know what you’d be good at!
