I can’t seem to find out on any of the sites. All of them say “sometime this afternoon”. I don’t want to go online at 3:15 PM and find out I missed the whole deal.
From the Houston Chronicle:
Following tradition, the outgoing and incoming presidents were to ride together in a limousine to the Capitol for the inaugural ceremonies starting at 10:30 a.m. CST.
The parade back to the White House was to begin at 1:40 p.m.
From this, the swearing in will be sometime between 10:30am and 1:40pm CST. I would expect a 12 noon swearing in.
From the Washington Post:
Official ceremony starts at 11:30. Chief Justice Rehnquist will administer the oath of office to Cheney at 11:50 and to Bush at noon. (Eastern Standard Time, of course).
Cheney and Bush attend a luncheon with congressioinal leaders, then they lead the inaugural parade, which begins at 2:00. The parade is expected to last two hours.
