Atom Bomb Test Day Today! Yay, team!!!

In this violent world of madness, the media brings us a day to remember: the anniversary of the first A Bomb test in the US! Let’s hear the cheers and the applause for the advance of mankind.

As a remembrance, here’s an article that was posted by TVNL on the last anniversary of the atom bombings of Hiroshima and Nagsaki. Read and remember. Happy 100th Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

Let us also wring our hands hysterically over a test that simply made the fleets of bombers that triggered fire storms redundant.

I am thankful for the atomic bomb, which in all likelihood foreshortened the worst tragedy in the history of mankind.

It also ushered in an era where another war like WWII between great powers is pretty much unthinkable due to MAD.

Uh, is it just me or is there something weird going on here? The first atomic bomb testing was July 16, 1945. So that means that the OP is either three-and-a-half months early or nine months late.

Didn’t the staff for the Manhattan project arrive in Los Alamos in March 1943? So we’ve got a tenuous link.
