Attaching a vinyl banner to brick board

I need to glue a large (4’ X 6’) vinyl banner to a piece of ‘brick board’ similar to this. I need it adhere well enough to be hung outdoors for about a month in all kinds of weather.

I was thinking that silicone sealant might work, but perhaps there is something better and cheaper to use.

Any ‘good’ ideas?

Tapcon screws set through the holes into the brick. Or setting them 6 inches or so away (diagonally) and using bungee cords makes the placement a little more forgiving.

I wouldn’t suggest using an adhesive. I’d much rather have a few small holes in the brick (that could be used for another sign someday) than dealing with any kind of adhesive in masonry.

ETA, I missed that part about it not being real brick. What is it? Is it like Hardie Board? What it’s actually made of and the what kind of finish it has will make a big difference here. But know what I know (or don’t know) now, I’d still suggest screws, but I’m not sure what kind. Probably whatever was used to attach the board to the structure to begin with.

I don’t know what brick board (see link in OP) is actually made of, but it looks to me like a relatively thin particle board. The brick board is not affixed to the building per se, it slides into a frame that holds it in place, so I just need to securely attach the vinyl banner to the wood back board. I thought of using screws or bolts, but I don’t think they would hold so gluing seemed like a better option.

The link you gave at the beginning doesn’t say what it’s made of it just says ‘durable materials’. If it’s a particle like board, I would just use drywall screws and washers. I do that all the time for vinyl banners. If you’re concerned, and you have access to the back, you could certainly use nuts and bolts. If this is going to be thrown away at the end, I suppose you could glue it and it won’t matter, I was shying away from glue, at least partially, because I was concerned about residue being left on the side of a building.
Another option is to get an actual piece 4x8 piece of wood (or drywall of it’s protected from the weather) and use screws to go through the banner, through the brickboard and through the real plywood. I don’t know if that’s overkill for your situation though.
