Attention Iphone Users

Mrs. asked the mall security guards to escort her to the location just to write down tags and look around. They refused. “We’re not armed, we can’t arrest, and it may be a gang. We have lots of gangs here.”

She went by herself and met the cop outside.

My coworker had her phone stolen and called the precinct’s non emergency number to report the theft. When the officers arrived they said to always call 911 to report a theft even if it doesn’t seem like an emergency, because that way an officer will be dispatched immediately to canvas the area and hopefully apprehend the thief.

Why so hostile dude?

I totally believe you!

If the kid was using your phone could I assume that it does not the password lock enable ?

I believe with the new OS7 release our iPhone’s have an option lock the phones and prevent them from accepting another SIM card. While it does not keep someone from stealing your phone it still inconvenience the thief. Details here.

I used to design automotive security systems, and this is just an updated form of “Sorry your car alarm is going off out there, but we’re too scared, useless and underpaid to do anything about it.”

Or, as a cop friend used to mutter, “Joe Rentacop… we know the number to call!”

I used a screen lock code before iOS 7. Now you have to opt out of it instead of opting in.
