Attn steampunk fans: The Adventures of Langdon St. Ives is available

Subterranean Press has recently issued the omnibus The Adventures of Langdon St. Ives, a collection of classic steampunk stories and novels by James P. Blaylock, one of the guys who developed the genre (and the guy who actually coined the term “steampunk”).

If you’re interested in gonzo historical fantasy, it’d be well worth checking out.

:smack: Waitaminnit, it was actually K.W. Jeter who coined the term, wasn’t it? I keep thinking it was Blaylock. At least I remembered that it wasn’t Powers.

Anyhoo, you should still check out that book.

It was Jeter, in a letter to Locus.

I will say that Homunculus* and Lord Kelvin’s Machine are two of the major works in that subgenre.
