Bear_Nenno, my main objection to the Tax-Free week is that not just parents of school children benefit from this. I happened to be doing a good bit of clothes shopping during that week myself, for my new job. I wasn’t charged taxes. So how in any way did that benefit parents of school children OR the school system? So, while I think it was a well-meant idea, the execution of said idea is somewhat pointless and weak. (Not that I minded not paying taxes on my new threads…
