I’ve noticed that one piece of information isn’t very prominent in articles, so let me remind everyone that Sessions testimony is scheduled for 2:30pm today.
I was seeing this morning that he’ll probably cite executive privilege and not say much. Not sure why he wants to sit there on TV and say he refuses to answer. Wouldn’t it be better to just refuse to appear at all?
It’s not clear if these are “the lawyers working on the case” or just some of the lawyers and there might be others from the other side. (I’m not familiar with this source or its possible lean.)
In general, lawyers tend to be left-leaning and weigh their contributions more towards Democrats.
When do we get to start calling him Jubilation T. Cornpone?
Sessions might take the offensive and tell all. It could happen.
Though I expect nothing but "President Trump is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I’ve ever known in my life. "
Sessions did say he wants to set the record straight. Reading from his Trump script, he’ll tell you Comey was a poop head and lies.
“Everyone who looks at the evidence will be automatically biased against Trump on the basis that it proves that he’s guilty as sin. Therefore no one who looks at the evidence can be relied upon to be impartial. Only completely ignorant people should be selected for the job.”
Cornpone’s Defeat, Cornpone’s Rout, and Cornpone’s Utter Humiliation…
Sounds like a disease. “Can’t come in today, boss. Got a scorching case of Cornpone’s Rout.”
NBC News live stream of AG Sessions testifying before Senate Intelligence Committee
The feed is currently live.
I just watched a blonde lady in a tan jacket unlock her phone right in front of the NBC camera, with the screen clearly visible the entire time.
Ah… here we go.
Not to worry, it’s just Ivanka with the launch codes.
Sessions is certainly fidgety while waiting to speak.
Sessions is finally starting to talk.
Maybe he really needs to take a dump rather than just looking like it.
The upshot so far: Sessions didn’t talk to any Russians, doesn’t know of anyone who did talk to Russians, and to suggest that he did/does is an “appalling detestable lie.”
Ah, the whole, “How dare you impugn my integrity!” Line. Never gets old
Murder rate up 10%?? Cite, please, Mr. Sessions.
His changing the subject at the end of his prepared remarks is only slightly less off-putting than his ventriloquist’s-puppet smirk.
I have to go to a doctor’s appt. Take notes for me!
