My friend is looking for a good Christmas present for his new bride (late? yes!) and he thinks the perfect thing for her would be an iTunes-like subscription for audio books.
We looked at www.audible.com which is exactly what he’d want but he feels the price is a bit out of his range.
Anyone know of any other similar services? Spending the $$ on the MP3 player alone is going to be a stretch, so another $300 for a book subscription would be out of the question since she can get the books on tape at the library for free. The convenience factor (she could probably listen to 1 book a day) and the larger catalog is what he’d be willing to pay for. Just not so much
