I hope s/he knows what s/he’s in for when s/he gets there: I’ve looked all around for some kind of user guide that explains how the features of the DVR and even the other FiOS menu items work, and I’ve found nothing. I got all excited when I found a PDF of the remote control user manual on the FiOS site- it’s just a PDF of the crappy piece of paper that came with the darn thing. I’ve looked ALL over the Verizon FiOS site. I can find nothing that tells me how it all works—nothing. Even the help screens on the TV menu tell me crap-all about any of it. It’s maddening, really. I mean, how do I learn about this stuff???

p.s. I’m pretty sure I have an audio-sync feature on my receiver that allows for a correction when things are out of whack, but I’m not quite there yet- I have way too many other things to figure out first!
