Austin Dopers! Good places for a 9 year-old's birthday?

I finally have the mental capital required to invest in planning Kizarvexilla’s birthday party. I’ve been putting it off for far too long, and the date is fast approaching. Furthermore, the plan I had been hatching has just fallen through. Contrary to what I had thought, my apartment complex does NOT allow residents to use its “clubhouse” for kids’ parties.

So I would appreciate whatever recommendations y’all can offer. As the weather has finally turned chilly, an outdoor party is probably out of the question. So I need suggestions for venues that won’t soak me financially – preferably somewhere in the North Austin / Cedar Park area.

Main Event is pretty decent-- it’s got bowling, laser tag, video games, and mini golf, all indoors. I think it’s up in Round Rock. I’m not sure what they charge for birthday events.

There’s also Austin Park 'n Pizza… it is outdoors, though, so they may not be open.

I think we have a Gattitown, which kids love. I think it’s similar to a Chuck E. Cheese, except without the live music.

Roller skating and ice skating parties were fun for me as a kid.

I also had a few “hotel parties”-- it’s basically a glorified sleepover at a Holiday Inn, where the kids get to run around and go swimming in the indoor pool in winter. You have your cake & presents in the room, then you let the kids swim or play video games, then stick in a video, then let 'em chatter before bedtime (my parents would get one room alone and my female friends & I would have the other to ourselves).

You didn’t say if the party was for a girl or boy. If for a girl there is always Capital Gymnastics. They have two rooms, one has inflatables and trampolines, the other has more gymnastic type stuff. Also, there are several “girls day out” type places where the kids get to go get dressed up, have their hair and make up done, etc. I know there is one in downtown Round Rock.
Pump it Up is also good. Two rooms of inflatables and a handful of teenagers to chaperone it all.
Soccerzone in Cedar Park can be rented out for birthday parties. It is an indoor soccer field, but they also have an area with inflatables and games.
My 9 year old daughter seconded the Main Event. She also said that she likes arts and crafts parties.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the recommendations so far. Please keep them coming!

The party is for my daughter, BTW.
