I’m going to Salzburg in late December. Can anyone recommend ski areas (St. Anton, Lech, Saalbach-Hinterglemm, etc.)? I’ll have two full days for skiing. I’m a college student, and I’ll be by myself. I’m an intermediate-level skiier. I’m buying a guidebook tomorrow, but it’s good to get as many opinions as possible.

And how do most Anglophones pronounce “Tyrol”? (“teer-uhl,” “tye-role,” etc.)

I’d recommend Wagrain, where are a lot of not too difficult skislopes. Salzburgerland is relative flat and therefore quality of the snow might be bad.
