I am trying to answer a question on another message board and thought I would enlist the help of the Teeming Millions.
In 1992 or so, a book titled “Crossing Eden” was published under the name “Emma Gordon.” I am told that there is a blurb on the cover to the effect that “Emma Gordon” is the pseudonym of a “best-selling author.”
No amount of research on my part has been able to uncover the author’s real name. Does anybody know of this book or this author? Web searches on Google and AltaVista have been fruitless, as have searches of most of the best book review sources, Amazon, WorldCat, the LOC catalog, and ASCAP (you can see I got really desperate).
“Crossing Eden” is a romance so I would suspect that this may be the pen name of a “best-selling” romance novelist. They are known for producing work under a variety of names.

Thanks for that link, gigi. I’ll add it to my list of places to check next time.
BTW, I’ve also now e-mailed the publisher. As nearly as I can tell, this is the only book ever written by this author, so I’m still at a loss as to any other resources to try.
Sign me, “Still hoping there might be somebody out there with this info.”
