Have you heard of this book? I’m trying to track it down.
I heard an interview of the author on NPR, who’s book was reviewed in the NYTimes (about a couple months ago, I think).
He was the journalist who first found Jennifer Flowers, and he was the “darling child” of the Gingrich faction.

He decided that they’d become too fanatic. That they really believed that the country had to be saved from liberals, so that the ends justified the means.

Any ideas?

This sounds like David Brock. He wrote an article in the July (I believe) issue of Esquire that sounds just like what you’re saying. Hadn’t heard he developed a book from it, though.
