Oh, I’ve seen the film and I think it’s great, which is why I don’t think it should be remade.

Okay, got it - but I doubt the original flick is up for a remake, not after the execrable “The Brave Little Toaster Goes To Mars”.
raz, the vacuum cleaner was Kirby (an actual manufacturer), voiced by Thurl Ravenscroft. We knew he’d be all right, though - “Even, sweeping motions, Kirby!”
