Auto Insurance

I have insured my daughter’s vehicle for some time now. I recently learned that she has not registered or licensed the vehicle in over a year and is driving the vehicle illegally. If she were to be involved in an accident would the insurance company cover the vehicles damage in spite of it not being properly licensed & registered

Real life questions that involve legal opinions are better in IMHO rather than General Questions. I’ve moved this one.

Insurance law is specific to location. You’ll need to specify what jurisdiction applies.

In my jurisdiction, the Cayman Islands, insurance cover would not apply if the vehicle is not duly registered or is driven by a unlicensed driver.

In other locations that may not be the case.

Where I used to work they would probably cover the vehicle as long as you’re paying the premium. I would, however, check under any exclusions in your policy.
