OK, I have an autographed football from a marginally well-known player, and I’d like to display it in a basement bar as part of a sports memorabilia theme. The problem is that I received it a few years back and two things have happened. The ball has become a bit deflated, and the black marker has faded a bit. I assume I can just re-inflate it to solve that problem, but is there some sort of lacquer, or polyurethane, or something, that is suitable for use on a leather football to keep the writing preserved?
In case anyone’s wondering, the player is ex-New England Patriot great Steve Grogan.
