I want the latter, too. I really like Gruenwald’s run on Cap, and I thought they had a good romance going. She made for a great character.
I’m not sure why you appear to be operating from a premise which presupposes that MCU Phase IV and beyond will continue Iron Man, Captain America and/or Thor as separate movie franchises at all?
I am personally expecting that, starting with Phase IV, The Avengers will consist of:

Marvel has announced Eternals for Phase IV, but I don’t know whether that is going to be a franchise, or simply a gateway into the larger Marvel Cosmic. I also think that Winter Soldier and War Machine are going to be the spiritual successors to the legacies of Captain American and Iron Man, respectively, but that there won’t be any further standalone movies for either character, so I’m not sure why you think that Beta Ray Thor or another Captain America couldn’t work. Personally, I’d like to see them give the shield to Sam.
I’m not seeing it. The original Adam Warlock storyline way back when was an enormous thing where he ended up crucified - literally - as a sacrifice to save the world.
If Eternals is up, it’d be a good hook to make Adam Warlock a key part of the next big arc with that approach.

I think Thor will get at least one more movie. Ragnarok and Infinity War really revived interest in him.

That is correct. I just bought mine for opening weekend. It took a while as the Cinemark website was very slow. Clearly many people are trying to buy tickets all at once.
Just got tickets! Wanted 7 PM but there was a queue (which I’ve never seen before on Fandango)… I’m staying in the queue, but I also bought 9 PM tickets at a different theater as a backup (Fandango has easy returns).

I got tickets to a Saturday night regular showing, while simultaneously in line for a Sat. night IMAX showing. But apparently the entire AMC website/ticketing back end has crashed.
I got tickets for Thursday the 25th at 7.
My queue crashed, so 9pm on Friday it is.
I got tickets for Sunday morning which is the same slot where we saw the last film. A couple days later but we’ve got choice reserved seats right in the center.
Wednesday, 24th April at 11:45AM local. Assuming it finishes at about 3:15PM local, that’ll be 1:15 AM, US Eastern time, on the 24th.

Using AList, I’ve reserved tickets for 3 showings so far: Thursday the 25th at 6:15pm (in 3D), Thursday the 25th at 10:30pm (in 2D), and Friday the 26th at 3:00pm (in 3D IMAX). I would have reserved more but AList only lets you make 3 reservations in advance.
I will end up cancelling that 6:15 if I do the marathon at AMC, because that includes a showing of Endgame, that I think is an hour or so earlier. I won’t know until a couple of days before the marathon on the 23rd if I’ll be able to do it, but I’m planning on it. I just don’t want to cancel my reservation until I know for sure.
I’m excited!
I assume that whole “let’s go fight Thanos again” part is the first act, and given the noticeable absences from the matching suits group shot (Thor and Captain Marvel) my guess is the heroes get rickity wrecked again and probably take some casualties.
