I got my sig from Wartime Writings. At least, that’s where I think I got it. I may have read the quote in the OP there. But then I think that I may have seen it on an aviation poster or a bumper sticker.
I’m pretty sure that something very similar was said by the author of your signature quote, though IIRC he was paraphrasing Isaak Walton, who originally said it of fishing.
I’ve always heard that quote attributed to St. Exupéry.
