Thomas Jefferson was an idiot?
Maybe a tense problem here? “was” = 18th century thinking, “thinks” = thinks right now?
The Lord Loves a Workin’ Man, and Don’t Trust Whitey.
How many is that so far?
Gob helps those who helps themself to yo’ stuff, but touch mine & hell’s-a-comin’.
Early to bed & early to rise makes a man next to Gobliness.
Not that it’s really the printer’s job, but if I were the printer and noticed that the sticker had a typo, misspelling, or a grammatical error, I like to think I’d ask the customer if that’s really how they want it to go out. Either way my comment was on the number of people who had to have let this pass uncorrected from design to bumper-affixing.
In a pinch you could always substitute this. Just needs a bit of a haircut to be a decent-looking redneck.
Republicans have already advocated for repealing the 14th. They probably don’t like the 19th all that much, either.
Perhaps this bumper sticker is just anticipating some point in America’s future.
Wrong (as per usual).
Oddly, you make exactly the same kind of mistake with that statement as the bumper sticker in question.
Nope you’re wrong.
Bolding mine.
Ignorance of current events is not an excuse. Doesn’t the rock you live under get cable t.v.?
A provision of the amendment is not the entire amendment. Just like the first 10 amendments are not the entirety of all the amendments.
Got anything else you’d like to bold?
Got any more hairs you’d like to split?
Also, one republican senator does not equal “republicans.”
How is it that the OP excoriates the car’s owner for suggesting the first ten amendments constitute all the amendments, and he’s applauded for the post… and you suggest that one provision of the Fourteenth Amendment constitutes all of the amendment, and it’s splitting hairs?
Sure:
Chalk it up perhaps to election-year bizarreness, but suddenly the capital is debating whether the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution ought to be repealed, refined or left alone.
David DeGerolamo: “I want the 14th Amendment repealed.”
Website of Kevin Craig for Congress (conservative Libertarian, but not a Republican): Repeal the 14th Amendment! -- KEVIN CRAIG - "Liberty Under God" Beginning in Missouri's 7th Congressional District
Congress should
• repeal the 14th Amendment
Should I assume that you agree with me about Republicans and the 19th amendment, since you raised no objection to that?
Yeah, but those don’t count because it disproves John’s and Rand’s arguments.
Although perhaps I shouldn’t be so hasty.
Could the OP clarify if his gripe is with the implication that there are only ten amendments in total, or is his gripe with the underlying sentiment that the Second Amendment enjoys a place of primacy in a cause-and-effect analysis of the Constitution’s freedoms?
Who gives a monkey turd about the OP? I was talking to RandRover, who was making a sweeping denial of any action against the 14th. So he’s allowed to be vague but I’m not? Please.
