Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight.” (You know where I mean.)
I think it’s a theremin.
The little four note harmonic riff in Sweet Home Alabama at about 3:01.
Wow there’s so many I love.
Bon Scott’s “Cop this!” (Fuck This!) at the beginning of AC/DC’s Problem Child
The Big Bopper’s “Hello Baby!” or Sammy Hagar’s version to kick off “Good Enough” by VH
Speaking of which, there’s a ton a Van Halen moments but one I love is the "…please don’t stop me nowwwwwww…<delay|… PANAMA!
Every time Little Richard screams “Lucille!”
In Korn’s “Freak on a Leash” the huge “GO!” right Jonathan Davis’ “Boom na da noom na na nema” scatting before going into “So…fight”
Ooh man, one of my favorite little things in a song ever…3/4 of the way through Counting Crows “Round Here,” right after the line "She says, “Shh, I know it’s only in my head…” There’s a delicate little hi-hat fill punctuated by a little splash at the end. Man, I love that part. I’d give you the time but YouTube isn’t working for me at the moment.
Definitely that one.
John Lennon’s descending vocal “BrBrBrBrBrBrb” in the middle of the Fabs’ Slow Down.
Zombie - by the Cranberries. The opening guitar and drums.
Immigrant Song but the remake by Trent Reznor and Karen O.
Hello - When she picks it up at the beginning

SO much by the Hip…
Old time Rock and Roll - Bob Seger. Just after the piano intro
The parts in Joe Walsh’s “Life’s Been Good” where the background vocals sing “Everybody say Ohhhh yeah, heeeee’s cool” is such a perfect garnish to the subject matter.
Years later, Human League’s “Fascination”: the bass baritone “Hey hey hey heeeeeyyyy” that answers the opening lyric. Same kind of pick-me-up that makes you sing along.
In Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time” when she echoes the lyrics “I will be waiting” during the last chorus.
The third verse of Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” is incredible. There’s so much desperation and rage in his voice:
“Success is my only motherfuckin’ option, failure’s not.
Mom, I love you, but this trailer’s got to go, I cannot grow old in Salem’s lot.”
The final “GUH!” or whatever it is Axl Rose grunts at the end of Welcome To The Jungle.
The primal scream at the end of Won’t Be Fooled Again.
Don McLean’s “American Pie” “Eight miles high and falling ffffffaaaaassssst. It landed foul on the grass.” You can see it falling and SPLATT
The Eagles “take it…to the limit one more time.” Best pause in history.
Boy I don’t like any of these so far.
How about The Beatles “Getting Better” when the instruments drop away, some percussion and droning and “I used to be mean to my woman…”
Shocker.
“I got blisters on my fingers!”
Chushingura by Jefferson Airplane – a short, minute-and-a-few-seconds long “instrumental” snippet (wouldn’t even call it a ‘song’) at the end of side 1 of the Crown of Creation album.
Alternately, the final bellow of rage at the end of the song “Crown of Creation” – “My life is to survive, and be alive for you — AHHH-ah-AHH-AH!”
Oh, definitely. So much so that it should be a given.
The banjo in Just a Song by Dave Mason.
Speaking of Mason…the three screeky guitar notes before the bridge of “Perry Mason.”
