This is part of a U.S. Government/PBS campaign to teach children how to contruct words. There are three other shows currently on PBS that have phonics and literacy as their goal: Super Why!, Word World, and WordGirl (the latter of which is for older children to teach them new vocabulary and is actually quite amusing).
The Federal governement has to spend millions to try to undo the damage caused by our educational system (which has decided that phonics are obsolete)
Next on the agenda should be to fix the damage done by Chicago Math. :smack:
