Babies and the prez.

Ok, now I’m sure of it. I’ve noticed in the past that babies (from the crowd) don’t seem to warm to Bush quickly. They tend to lean away, and don’t look at him. Younger kids seem to share the babies’ disinterest.
IIRC, other polititians were (are) able to get more of a reaction than our president. Clinton is, and was, pretty good with the kiddies. So is Dean.
Does that mean anything? I dunno. I just notice weird stuff like that.
Peace,

It means that Bush will have to work much harder to court the “under two” voters.

Count me as under two, then.

Almost all babies do that in such situations. I’ve seen it happen to politicians at all levels.

Picture yourself as an infant:

“What th’? Where the hell is mom? Who the hell is that? Crap, get me outta here!”

As a WAG, it may have something to do with smiling. Babies respond to smiles. Clinton has a huge, warm smile and Bush doesn’t. Dunno about Dean.

Or maybe they don’t like Bush’s aftershave.
