Ok, I have no clue about where to put this, or if I even can, but what the heck…
My mother left me a Baby Lock serger, an older one prolly from the late 80’s, early 90’s. I will never, ever, ever have a use for a serger. It has no less than 3 instruction books and a video. But if I should find a need for one, it would probably be taken care of with the Bernina 1130 with the 24! flipping walking feet that she also left me.
So I’m trying to sell the Baby Lock. But I cannot find a fair price to save my life. I have looked on Ebay and found Baby Locks of varying pedigrees sell from about $9.99 to $1000. I put it on Craigslist as a barter item and eveyone would like to buy it, but for around $50.
I cannot find much information about this particular Baby Lock, a sewing place that sells and repairs Baby Locks will not give me an idea on price, but will tell me that it was a high end machine back in the day. Then they say that sergers have come a long way since then.
Does anyone here have a clue about where I can find a fair price for this beast? By the way, it’s a 5380ed. If $50 is fair, then off it goes. Advise please?
The majority word will be law.
Thanks!
