Baby yoga, my ass!

Oh please, that is not real. The baby barely moves, and we would definitely see facial expression of some sort when it was being spun around- Not too mention the fists he would be making in rage/terror. Also, I would think with the rubbery nature of an infant’s bones/cartilage that there would be no way the child could take a sustained g-force like that.

Is it possible they used a young shaved chimp?

I think this is it, children are rubbery. We really do coddle our children, but they (mostly) survived in the wild when we weren’t so civilized, I suspect they’re a lot more durable than we give them credit for. Of course, adults can easily harm and kill an infant, but you really need to be violent. Anyone who accidentally harms a baby is really just accidentally using a great deal of force, they’re not using an appropriate touch that just happens to hurt the kid.

As unnerving as it looks, she’s pretty gentle and flowing with the movements.

Thank you. I knew I could punch harder!

You know, this is an interesting observation. Because, how different are human babies than chimp babies, really? (Genuine question, because hell if I know.) I really wouldn’t think it was particularly insane for a person to throw a baby chimp around like that, assuming the chimp seemed as content as that kid did in the video. But seeing her do that to a human baby was shocking. Interesting.

Well, this video has been around for a couple weeks, and it seems to be legit.

Seems bizarre to me as well, but there you go.

Yeah - I don’t think I would be rushing out to do this with my newborn, but all of the things she was doing other than the around her head stuff didn’t seem to move the head in really jerky ways or stop it suddenly. I wouldn’t be keen to be carrying all of the weight from one arm, like that either. But babies are really used to lots of movement in utero, and I can see how this could be soothing. I know from a young age my kid liked lots of bouncing and swinging - and always seemed to be up for more rough play than I was!

The kid didn’t looked relaxed to me. I do hope she gets hit with some flying debris on when flinging naked babies around like that.

That was disturbing. But the kid did look pretty relaxed to me. The whole time I was afraid she was going to lose grip and drop the kid or swing it into that anchor planted in the garden behind her.

In any event, our babies loved getting tossed in the air and swung in arcs between the knees and head, but it always made me nervous. As they got older, being swung in circles was top entertainment. Babies is weird.

This is great!
