She prays to a fictional asshole, doesn’t even know what her religion means, doesn’t know the constitution. Yeah, great candidate. If you’re this fucked up by religion, you shouldn’t be allowed to vote, period. This woman is a joke, she is not qualified to be in any office of any kind.
That’s a weak argument, since until 2008 a similar one could have been made about not backing Obama because a non-white candidate had never been elected president.
The reasons why it’s a waste of time to back either Palin or Bachmann have been adequately laid out, ad infinitum, so it’s useless to continue attempting to convince the usual suspects. However, it’s good to continue to do so for the benefit of any lurkers.
Bachmann believes that Americorps is a program of reeducation camps for American youth.
She stated that the census was unconstitutional, and that the information was being gathered for nefarious uses such as identifying people to be placed into internment camps.
She stated on Sean Hannity that gay marriage (not terrorism, not war, not economic issues) is the biggest threat to America.
Now, these may be “personal attacks” on her, irrelevant from her actual political agenda. But the first three, to me, indicate a pretty non-consensual-reality-based belief system, the last goes to her personal integrity, and her political agenda in general is extreme.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - she can hold it together for a while, but eventually, the batshit is going to spill over in public, and if the Republicans actually nominate her, they’ll have wasted any opportunity at all to defeat Obama in 2012.

Bachmann has stated that a wife should submit to her husband, as for example when he told her to go into tax law, and she did.
Has she explained how we would not actually be electing her husband if she feels required to submit to what he feels is best? Would she need his permission to make presidential decisions?

I don’t see why not. I’ve been in mosques, and the imam who showed us around didn’t have any problem at all with it. Doubtless there are some mosques that don’t welcome visitors, but those obviously weren’t the ones Obama visited.

What I meant by her not understanding the constitution is the equal rights it promises. She feels gay people HAVE to be straight due to her religion. This is unconstitutional because she side steps the equal rights part and we have NO national religion.
She screams-- SCREAMS for help because two gay women want to have a conversation with her. She wants a christian country without gays, no environmental protection agency to keep the water clean, etc. She claims that SSM is the biggest issue in our nation. Why? Well, because her loving god will send more tornadoes through the bible belt. If you really want a bible thumper, there’s plenty of places to move to (like Afghanistan) where there are no equal rights and plenty of religion used to practice against gays, women, etc.
You do know that Allah is the word for God in Arabic, right? Like saying Dieu in French or Gott in German? Any Arabic speaker would use the word Allah. And before you ask, yes, there are many Christians who speak Arabic natively.

I’m an atheist, so it’s no skin off mine, but describing a prayer to Allah as traitorous seems pretty dishonoring to the Almighty, as does being ignorant of your religion’s origins.

And like I said, guy, I don’t back Palin or Bachmann. I could probably live with Bachmann if it were a choice between her and Obama. I’d rather have Perry, who has a record of success and unlike him, has actually run something first.
It counters RECOVERINGS endless mantra that Obama can not get re-elected with an unemployment rate over 9. There have been a couple presidents get back in with bad unemployment numbers. But he defends Bachmann. But a woman has never been elected. therefore it can not happen
