Background music in The Truman Show

I picked up the film in progress, in the library, just before Jim Carrey
started that romantic scene with Laura Linney.

Soon, the music turned to (I think) a Mozart Piano Concerto.

In any event, Mozart or not, can you tell me the name of this piece?

It is rapturously beautiful.

If you check out the soundtrack on Amazon, you can listen to samples of all the songs. I’m guessing you’re looking for Wojciech Kilar’s “Father Kolbe’s Preaching,” but really, the whole soundtrack is worth a listen.

Thanks, Miller, but after reading your post, it occurred to me to order the DVD from Netflix and roll it to the top of my queue. If I hand’t accidentally tuned into themovie, I would have NEVER bothered to watch it.

BTW, I couldn’t find the music you mentioned at

No problem, though. I’ll soon have the flick.

It’s a pretty good movie, too, so I don’t think you’ll regret it.

Track #18.

TY again.
