One of the Boys is being treated for alcoholism and depresseion, and they have postponed the rest of their tour.
Their goes my summer .
Seriously, what’s that all about? “I’ve got millions of dollars and young women across the world are throwing themselves at me.” Yeah, that has to suck.
Possibly, rastahomie, this member has more going on in his life than the group? I remember at least one member lost a sister to lupus (and I think another family member to cancer).
I was just waiting for one of them to wind up in some sort of rehab. No better entertainment than to watch boy/girl bands fall under the crutch of alchol and drugs. I so look forward to the day when one of them drives off a cliff.
Don’t forget, their star’s been falling for awhile. Example from Hershey, Pa., where n’sync just played two sold-out shows at the local stadium. BSB got 20K turning out for one show. Clock’s just about run out on their 15 minutes.
Somebody said something similar on the ULMB, and several former sufferers of depression remarked how sick they were of people saying, “What have you got to be unhappy about? You’ve got a good life!” They had a point. Anybody can become depressed and alcoholic, and there doesn’t always have to be an obvious reason. I don’t know if the BSB thing is real or not, but this is not a reason to disbelieve it.
One of the things that’ll come back to haunt the group (sooner or later) is probably Nick Carter (another Boy) saying that “I don’t think there is an end to this group until one of us dies.”
One of those “knock on wood” statements, don’t you think?
well this is the first one to fall in the cycle of these groups … but its not like any one who keeps tabs on mucis bands would be suprised at this next will come the “creative diffrences” and someones going to make a solo attempt at a record deal then comes all the bitter ness and the backstabbing
and then comes the tv movies and such
and in 5 years or so thell make up just in time for the reunion so the girls who listens to them has their kids old enough to hear them
It could be that he’s recognized his problem early and wants to get the monkey off his back while it’s still small. Does anyone here want to go back to the good old '70s, where musicians were drunk on stage, blew all their royalties up their noses, and called it artistic creativity? Those days are over. Maybe this is him being forward-looking, and wanting to stay functional beyond his 20s.
I actually saw the concert back in Feburary. It was pretty good as far as concerts go, but bring your wallet (if you ever get to go) a stinkin’ glow stick costs 8 dollars. I did not buy one.
I believe the BSB in question is A.J. I know this because my best friend’s teenage sister is pretty bummed about not going to the show next week.
I read (don’t remember where) that he is suffering from anxiety and depression that was made worse by the recent death of his grandmother. Due to the anxiety and depression, he is now in rehab for drug and alcohol abuse. I for one hope that he is able to get through this and get himself back on track. And I’m glad to see that he is taking steps to get the help that he feels he needs.
Like, Dakota and Shelby are gonna be like, totally crushed that like, they can’t like, see Nick Carter!! I was talking to Brittney on AOL last night and she said that her and Stacey were going to see N’Sync when they come to town and now like, they’re going to be cooler than us because they can like, still go to N’Sync and like, we totally can’t like, go to BSB!!! I’m like, so sad, y’know? Like totally crushed! Now Sean is going to think that Stacey is cuter than me, y’know, but she’s like, kinda chubby! And she like, doesn’t have her belly button pierced, y’know?
Hey, did I tell you dad is getting me one of those waay cool SUVs when I turn 16 in two years? Like, how cool is that? I know! Totally!
Until you stop and think that probably 99% of those women are underage! In which case, you’re probably bummed out that you can’t get laid without risking jail time!:eek:
As for the millions of dollars, I doubt that. Generally losers like the BSB end up with nothing while the managers, producers, and record execs make all the big money.
