Funny you’d mention it.
I got an email from a Bad Reader today mentioning this. I go to Yahoo, read their report, and find a huge mistake in it. Yikes! So I email them. I get a reply back saying they got this from my site. Um. I check my site, and due to a misplaced modifier, the sentence they quoted did sound like I was saying something quite wrong. I fixed the sentence, and they fixed their page too.
The page in question is Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and the note at the bottom gives the specifics.
Heh. Thanks for bringing this one up though! It’s always cool to be noticed.
Speaking of being noticed, Bad Astronomy got an excellent review in the July/August 2002 issue of Skeptical Inquirer.
Quoting the last sentence in the review:
“Bad Astronomy is a powerful antidote to public befuddlement about the universe around us.”
Way to go, Phil!
You even answered the question of why Sirius tunrs green. I always thought it was because he ate a bad batch of Alpo.
