IMHO, yes.

Marital status–if you’re married, you can get away with having more cats.

Children/no children–if you have kids, people assume you’re “normal” unless you have literally dozens of cats.

Apartment/house/acreage–the bigger your property, the more cats you can have and still be considered “normal.” This is especially true if some are “barn cats.”

I knew it! The number of cats is not the only determining factor.

Not married but my bouyfriend and I live together. He is also a cat lover so I could claim that some our his cats.

I have one child still at home and there are two cats that favor her so I can claim that those two are her cats.

We rent a house. The house itself is not very big but we do have a good size yard.

It seems to me that I have just made it under the crazy wire.
